Devonleigh Community Involvement: Our 2015 Partnerships
We at Devonleigh pride ourselves as not only builders of communities, but active participants. All of our team members live and work in the communities we build in, and we love getting to know our neighbours!
This year, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve partnered with several events and organizations in our communities to give back. Here’s just a glimpse of the initiatives that we’re supporting this year, stay tuned for more!
Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival
One of Orangeville’s most iconic yearly events, Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival brings some of the most vibrant musical talent from across North America to Orangeville for a celebration of weekend of family friendly fun! This year’s lineup includes greats like Poppa Chubby, MonkeyJunk, and Jack DeKyzer. Also featuring several up-and-comers and Orangeville locals, OBJF has a wonderful way of keeping the spirit of blues and jazz alive.
Devonleigh has proudly sponsored OBJF in previous years, and is thrilled to continue the support in 2015. Be sure to keep an eye out for our banner on the festival grounds!
Orangeville Ribfest
In perhaps one of the tastiest events of the year, Orangeville Ribfest brings the big smoke from all across North America to Alder Street Recreation Centre. Champion smokehouses from as far as Texas send their best ribbers to broil and baste for hungry Orangevillians, who are asked to vote on their favourite feasts of the day.
The goal of this year’s Ribfest is to meet the fundraising goal for the Fendley Park Splash Pad. We’re honoured to be considered a partner of the festival, and you might just catch a few of us enjoying some delicious ribs on July 18!
Algonquin Theatre
Our ongoing partnership with the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville is a symbol of our commitment to arts and culture. Whether it’s showcasing the talent of young Huntsville or inviting iconic actors and entertainers for a performance, the Algonquin Theatre is never short on family friendly theatre and music.
We are so honoured to announce our sponsorship of the 2015 season, and we very much look forward to continuing this sponsorship in future years.
Muskoka River X
This one is for the adrenaline junkies! Muskoka River X is the world’s longest single day expedition paddling race. Teams paddle two rivers systems, three lakes, and 20 portages for a total of 130 kilometres in less than 24 hours. Our hats go off to all competitors - Team Devonleigh will be cheering from the sidelines!
As part of this year’s sponsorship, racers will be sporting the Devonleigh logo on their T-Shirts. We can’t wait!
Band on the Run
Band on the Run isn’t your average race. In fact, you could say it puts the “fun” in “fun run.” Huntsville’s very own half marathon features 21k, 5k and 10k options, as well as a full music festival! Headlining this year’s music festivities is none other than Canadian favourite, the Joel Plaskett Emergency.
We are so excited to be partnering with this amazing community event. What could be better than a gorgeous summer day, music, and a run through beautiful Huntsville?
Barrie Jazz & Blues Festival
Located near Devonleigh communities like Beeton, Angus, and Alliston, Barrie is a major hub of cultural amenities. This year, we’re thrilled to sponsor Barrie Jazz & Blues Festival as a Friend of the Festival!
Celebrating its twentieth year in 2015, the Barrie Jazz & Blues Fest is sure to draw visitors from all over Southern Ontario.
